RICHARD KATTMAN’S LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS TO BE FEATURED AT DOVER LIBRARY IN MARCH

The Friends of the Dover Library is pleased to announce that Richard Kattman of Holliston is the March Artist of the Month. Kattman’s landscape paintings will be on display the Dover Library March 1 through 31.

“Painting and drawing are my passion; landscape architecture is my profession,” said Kattman. “My paintings and drawings are about nature, man’s relationship to nature, man’s nature and the nature of painting and drawing.”

A practicing landscape architect, Kattman’s art comprises of abstract and landscape paintings, figure and portrait paintings, figure drawings, 35mm and view camera photography. His landscape architecture practice consists primarily of residential, commercial, and recreation/open space related projects.

He added: “Through color, line, and the creation of form, I search for beauty and meaning in the universe. Drawing allows me to discipline my creative instincts. I try to capture in every model or landscape the energy I envision radiating from the person or object’s core.”
